During each meeting, you will get positive and useful feedback from fellow group members to strengthen your writing. You will have the chance to help other group members by sharing your reactions to their writing. We will also give you written suggestions and encouragement about what you are doing well.
Review Key Writing Skills
Red Ore Writers sessions will review key writing skills to help you make your writing more engaging for readers. At each meeting, we will explore an important writing principle, such as showing vs. telling, active vs. passive voice, and point of view.
Format
For each class, you may submit up to five pages (printed, double-spaced, with 12-point font and one-inch margins.)
Submission
Give us time to respond to your writing, by emailing it to redorewriters@gmail.com by noon on the Thursday before each Sunday meeting. Contact us if you need to submit a paper copy.
Naming
Please name your document with the session date, your first name, and last initial.
Example: September 22, 2019, Bethany L.
Copies
Bring enough paper copies to each meeting for yourself and for the other writers in the group.
